Experience a challenging and fun two hour paddle tour up the river, with extra twists and turns just West of the Manatee River dam. Whether you are a novice or experienced stand up paddler, this adventure offers a unique and exciting experience. Along the way, there are several stops to search for shark teeth, adding an element of exploration to the journey. Participants aged 10 and up can join this paddle tour, which starts at the Rye Preserve kayak/canoe launch. All necessary equipment, including a stand up paddle board, paddle, and safety gear, will be provided. It is recommended to bring a towel and sunscreen for sun protection. Closed toed shoes are required for the optional nature hike after the tour, so be sure to come prepared for both activities.
