Spearfish 101
About this adventure and logistics
This spearfishing adventure takes place over the course of 5 hours and provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of the sport. The lesson covers fish identification, preservation, gun safety, breath holding techniques, and hunting techniques. After instruction, participants will spend approximately 2 hours in the water, hunting fish, enjoying snorkeling, and having fun. Participants are provided with a full set of quality spearfishing gear, including a gun, mask, snorkel, fins, "T-shirt style" wet suit, weight belt, and gloves. The meeting point is at All About Fish, just north of Ka'anapali on West Maui. After the adventure, participants can leave the equipment with the instructor and gather local knowledge on places to eat or have fun.
