For the Experienced Angler! Duration 11 Hours About For the experienced angler the Green river has the opportunity to produce browns, rainbows, and cutthroat over 24 inches, some trout have been recorded over the 30-inch mark! Bring your A-game, your 6 weight, and your camera as you are in for some great fishing! Fish on! We are happy to pick you up at your place of lodging anywhere in Jackson or Teton Village for your full-day fishing trip, and generally, we will head straight to the river, making a stop for fishing licenses on the way if need be. The Green River is a low volume river winding its way through the Upper Green River Basin near Pinedale, WY, some of the most quintessential ranch land in the state, about a 70-minute drive from Jackson. Many banks and bushes to cast to, holding fish in their shadows, sometimes becoming a bit technical with all the structure in the river. Your guide will provide all the equipment necessary for the day. Rods, reels, flies, leader, lures, etc. Please bring your favorite rod and reel if you like, and any other equipment as well. We generally will use 5 or 6 wt, 9-foot fly rods on the Green River. All of our full-day trips are offered in a float fishing format, two anglers and guide per drift-boat. Our drift-boats are equipped with a casting station and captains chairs front and back, with the guide situated in the middle, allowing anglers to stand and fish, or sit and fish as the guide maneuvers the boat. Our full-day fishing float will travel between 5-8 miles on the Green River, depending on which stretch we decide to fish. Your guide will generally start the day with an on river casting and or skills review session if needed, and then we are off and fishing. Anglers will fish as the boat drifts under the direction of your guide, with limited wading opportunities as we float mostly through private land. A delicious boat lunch to break up the day, and then back on the water. Our day will wrap up in the early evening hours, usually back to your lodging by 6pm. We practice catch and release so plan on bringing back some great photos and unforgettable memories.
