Kona Snorkeling – Beat the Crowd Tour
About this adventure and logistics
The boat adventure takes guests on a 5-hour tour to Kealakekua Bay Marine Preserve, one of Hawaii's premier snorkel spots. The tour is timed to allow guests to snorkel with fewer people at the bay, providing a more serene experience. With crystal clear and calm waters, Kealakekua Bay is the best place to snorkel on the Big Island of Hawaii. Upon arrival, guests receive a briefing on the bay and snorkeling before being allowed to stay in the water for as long as they like. The crew of the raft provides lunch for guests when they get out of the water, while the captain talks about the history of Kealakekua Bay and why the Captain Cook monument was erected here. Afterward, guests have additional time to jump back into the water for a little more snorkeling. The tour then continues with a coastal tour featuring sea caves, lava tubes, blow holes, and marine life such as spinner dolphins, manta rays, and turtles.
