Lime Kiln Half Day Tour
About this adventure and logistics
This four-hour kayaking adventure in the San Juan Islands is perfect for those with limited time, as it packs in plenty of sights and experiences. The tour launches from the picturesque San Juan County Park, and takes visitors through the federally designated Whale Sanctuary on the west side of San Juan Island. Along the way, visitors will be treated to stunning views of the Olympic Mountain range and Vancouver Island, Canada. While the tour is primarily focused on kayaking, there are plenty of opportunities to spot local wildlife. Visitors will keep their eyes peeled for a variety of whales, including killer whales, humpback whales, and minke whales, as well as river otters, harbor seals, and Stellar sea lions. Bald eagles soar overhead, while seabirds can be seen foraging along the eddy lines. The tour is suitable for those with moderate levels of fitness, and all kayaking equipment is included in the price. Visitors should note that the minimum age for this tour is 14, although limited space is available for 10-13 year olds in a triple kayak.
