PADI Freediver Course
About this adventure and logistics
This two-day PADI Freediver course is designed to teach participants the safety and science behind freediving. The program includes eLearning and water-entry fees and is suitable for individuals with adequate swimming skills and in good physical health, aged 12 and above. No prior experience with snorkeling, skin diving, or freediving is required. The course is divided into four phases: Freediver Touch/eLearning, knowledge development session, confined water sessions, and open water sessions. Participants will learn diaphragmatic breathing and relaxation techniques, breath-up steps, recovery breathing, and equalization techniques. They will also practice free immersion, constant weight, duck dives, and proper buddy procedures, and participate in a rescue scenario at depth. Participants are required to bring a diving mask, snorkel, fins, towel, notebook, water, sunblock, and swimwear. It is highly recommended that they wear wetsuits and weight belts during the course. Rental gear, including 3mm closed cell full wetsuits and freediving fins, is available, and participants are advised to bring a pair of socks for the latter.
