Embark on a 5-hour adventure at Rincon de la Vieja National Park with a combination of horseback riding and a visit to the Rio Negro Hot Springs. Starting from Hotel Hacienda Guachipelin’s stables, you will ride through picturesque ranch pastureland and forest, spotting various wildlife along the way. The Rio Negro Hot Springs, surrounded by lush tropical dry forest, features 10 man-made pools of mineral-rich water heated naturally by the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano. You can relax in the pools, smooth volcanic clay over your body, and explore the area via hanging bridges. At the Rio Negro Hot Springs entrance, you will find changing rooms, bathrooms, and lockers for your convenience. A short quarter-mile trail through the forest leads you to the hot springs pools, where you can unwind and enjoy the tranquil setting. After your visit, you will leisurely ride back to Hacienda Guachipelin on horseback, following forest trails with minimal time spent on ranch roads.
