Experience the thrill of horseback riding in Costa Rica with a private tour that includes a visit to the stunning La Oropendola Waterfall. Starting from Hotel Hacienda Guachipelín, guests embark on a 45-minute ride through a lush forest trail, leading to the picturesque waterfall located near the Rincon de la Vieja National Park. The 25-meter waterfall cascades into a turquoise pool, creating a tropical oasis perfect for a refreshing swim. Upon arrival at the canyon, guests embark on a short hike through varied terrain to reach the Blanco River, where the waterfall is located. After a leisurely swim and relaxation at the waterfall, guests ride back to Hacienda Guachipelín. The horseback ride takes guests through forest trails and short stretches of streets with traffic, guided by experienced sabaneros who ensure safety and provide helmets for all participants. Guests are advised to wear closed shoes, long pants or knee-length shorts, and a swimsuit underneath their clothes for the waterfall swim. The Adventure Center at Hacienda Guachipelín organizes and operates all tours, open daily from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm for guests and day visitors.
