Adventure Details
This boat adventure is recommended for experienced kayakers or those who want to enjoy kayaking at their own pace. Participants have the option to kayak to Popoi'a Island or Flat Island from Kailua Beach (approximately 20 minutes one way), to Lanikai Beach (approximately 40 minutes one way), or to Moku Lua Island (approximately 1 hour one way) depending on the weather. This tour allows flexibility for participants to use the kayaks for the entire duration, return the kayaks midway and enjoy other rental equipment at the beach, or even visit Kailua Town for shopping, allowing for a customizable and free-spirited experience. For participants with transportation included, pick-up is available between 7:30 am and 8:30 am from Waikiki hotels. Upon arrival at the shop, guests will receive a safety briefing and watch a safety video for kayaking in Kailua Bay. The tour includes parking, lunch, snorkeling equipment, bodyboards, mats, lockers for valuables, waterproof bags, life jackets, and landing permits. After the safety video, guests can head out on their kayaks to explore offshore islands and beaches, searching for sea turtles with snorkeling gear. Lunch options include pizza, calzones, burgers, salads, and BBQ, with a variety to choose from. The tour ends at 3:00 pm, allowing time for changing and using the shop's facilities before departure. For participants without transportation, the experience is similar to the guided tour with pick-up. After the safety briefing and video, guests can kayak to explore the islands and beaches, snorkel to find sea turtles, and enjoy lunch options such as pizza, calzones, burgers, salads, and BBQ. Upon return, guests can use the shop's rental equipment and freely enjoy the beach. Facilities such as showers and changing rooms are available for use until the shop closes at 5:00 pm.
