Year-round dolphin and whale watch tours in Kona offer a unique opportunity to explore the region's calm waters, deep coastlines, and diverse marine life. Departing from Honokohau Harbor, Hawaiian Adventures Kona provides 3-4 hour tours that allow guests to experience both near-shore and pelagic zones. With a US Coast Guard offshore certification, the tours can venture further out to search for a variety of wildlife including humpbacks, spinner dolphins, whale sharks, and more. To prepare for the adventure, guests are advised to wear sunscreen to avoid sunburn while onboard the vessel. Shoes are optional on the comfortable vessel Artemis, which features SeaDek foam for barefoot comfort. Those prone to motion sickness should take medication before the tour, as the vessel may head into open waters.
